Book week

This week we celebrated the wonderful world of books starting with the "Hooked on books" show on Monday, followed by the book sale on Tuesday and Wednesday.  On TThursday the children did paired reading where the Grade 7s read to the Grade 0s. They seemed to really enjoy this. We ended off book week with our dress up as a book character today. There were some awsome costumes but Shereya walked off with the first prize for her lovely Queen of hearts outfit. Natom won 2nd prize for his pirate outfit. A great end to a busy week!

Volcanoes

We are studying Natural Disasters in Social Science next term and we started with Volcanoes.  The Grade 7's formed groups and constructed their own volcano which then had to erupt as well. We are voting for the best looking volcano and best explosion for the group to win a prize!
